Communicating with sellers

Best practices for messaging sellers before and after purchase.

3 min readUpdated 1 April 20263 sections

1Before you buy

Use the TRUZH messaging system to ask questions about the item, request additional photos, or clarify shipping details. Always keep conversations on the platform — this protects you in case of disputes and ensures a full record of communication. Sellers who refuse to communicate through TRUZH should be treated with caution.

2After your purchase

Once you have purchased, maintain polite and clear communication with the seller about shipping timelines. Most sellers respond within 24 hours. If you do not hear back after 48 hours, you can escalate through the Help Center or open a dispute if the silence continues.

3Messaging etiquette

Be respectful, clear, and concise. Avoid aggressive language, excessive messaging, or off-topic conversation. Sellers are more likely to respond positively to polite, specific questions than to vague or demanding messages.
