Seller responsibilities and obligations

Your legal and ethical duties as a TRUZH seller.

1Honest representation

Sellers must describe items accurately, disclose all known defects, use genuine photographs, and honour the terms of each listing. Deceptive listings violate our Terms & Conditions and may result in account suspension and legal consequences under Spanish consumer protection law.

2Timely fulfilment

Once an item sells, ship it within the timeframe you promised in your listing. If circumstances prevent timely shipping, communicate immediately with the buyer. Repeated failures to ship on time damage your reputation and may result in account restrictions.

3Tax obligations

Sellers are responsible for understanding and meeting their own tax obligations under Spanish law. Under EU Directive DAC7, marketplaces are required to report certain seller activity to tax authorities when thresholds are exceeded. Consult a tax professional if you sell regularly or at volume.
